Blog-Archives 2018-2019
Welcome to my Blog
Hello there, my blog is going to go through the creation of the cards and crafts in four major steps:
1. Supplies required
2.Preparation
3. Construction
4.Review

Please note I will not provide exact supply details as many people like myself live in remote areas and do not have access to large craft stores. I would suggest you make these cards with what you have at hand rather than trying to replicate them exactly.

1. Supplies -Neenah Solar White 80lbs super smooth card stock or a white card stock of your choice; square punch 1 inch; red embossing powder; Merry Christmas stamp; Christmas stickers of your choice; sequins of your choice or drops
2.Preparation- cut the white card stock to 11 inches (W) x 41/4 inches(H). Fold and score the strip to 51/2 inches x 41/4 inches
3.Construction-Stamp you greeting within the top 2/3 of the folded card;emboss with embossing powder after you have wiped anti static powder over the area to be embossed; use your punch and cut three squares in the lower 1/3 of the card horizontally; add the stickers of your choice on the back of the inside of the card-the right hand side flap; add your choice of sequins, pearls or drops to each of the four corners of the squares as above.
4. Review : Ease of construction 2 /5 with 5 being extremely challenging-this was a very easy card to make especially for a beginner. You can add an inside sentiment if you wish. It took approximately 10 minutes to make this card so it would ideal for bulk card making initiatives.

Cement tealight/candle holders;

1. Supplies required: quikcrete or rockite cement, water, gloves,mask, googles. spatula,measuring cup, molds-yoghurt containers, silicone molds, silicone bowls, tealights, pillar candles, glass hurricane lamp, coins, painters tape.
2.Preparation: Spray inside of molds with cooking spray or coat cooking oil with a brush.
3.Construction: Mix cement and water 4:1 -cake mixture - porridge consistency. Fill molds and add tealight to center of cement tape in place with painters tape or add coins to weigh it in place. Let it sit on a flat surface once mold filled for 10 minutes. Mold should solidify in 15 minutes. Check cement is curing (hardening), check tealight is centered in mold. If not reposition tealight before it hardens at 15 minutes. If tealight is in correct position leave for at least one hour hours then remove.
4.Review: All items came out perfect the first time. It is not recommended to paint cement for at least 2 months so it cures properly.
